Sea Buckthorn, Weight Loss Miracle Berry, Seen on Dr. Oz

Dr. Oz showcased an exciting supplement, rich in Omega 7 fatty acids on his June 2, 2011 show. He was very excited to reveal a study that was performed on mice that kept the mice give Sea Buckthorn to maintain healthy weight levels, while the group of mice that didn't receive any Sea Buckthorn gained huge amounts of weight on a high calorie diet. Both groups had the exact same diet. Only the untreated group of mice gained weight.

Not only did the mice whose diet wasn't supplemented with Sea Buckthorn gain weight, they gained weight to obese levels! The pictures that Dr. Oz displayed were shocking. He said that the obese mouse went on to develop illnesses that are readily identified with overweight people, such as heart disease and diabetes.

Doctor Oz says that Sea Buckthorn has 42 fatty acids, but there was one in particular that he pointed out. He said that very few natural foods has Omega 7 fatty acids. He said that Omega 7 fatty acids help protect against heart disease. 

The scientists in the study believe that some of the healthy chemicals that are in  Sea Buckthorn signal the brain to not hold on to excess fat from meals. The picture below is very similar to the picture of the two sets of mice that were involved in the study. The obese mice on the high calorie, high fat diets didn't take Sea Buckthorn!
